description Tuckahoe State Park is a stream and valley park divided by Tuckahoe Creek, which runs the length of the park's 3,800 acres. Boating and fishing are available in the 60-acre lake. Due to the unique composition of the area's streams, fields, forests, forests and wetlands, a tremendous diversity of flora and fauna can be enjoyed. The park offers 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, picnicking, as well as a recycled tire playground for children. Seasonal activities and special events are hosted throughout the year. Adkins Arboretum, is also occupies 500 acres within the park and displays vegetation indigenous to Maryland. Tuckahoe State Park offers a ropes course, Scales and Tales display and lead teambuilding activities for additional fee and reservation made through park office.
drivingDirection Tuckahoe State Park is located approximately 35 miles east of the Bay Bridge just off MD RT 404, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. On RT 50/301 East, over Bay Bridge. RT 50/301 splits, bear to the right on RT 50. Make a left at the intersection of RT 50 and RT 404. Go approximately 8 miles until you come to the intersection of RT 404 and RT 480. Make a left on RT 480. To your immediate left take Eveland Road. Once on Eveland Road follow directional signs to area of choice.

importantInformation ALCOHOL POLICY: The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit and must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival. Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer. Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation. note CANOE/KAYAK RENTALS: Canoes and kayaks (single & tandem) are available for rent April through October. Sat./Sun.: Rent at the boathouse at Tuckahoe Lake; Mon.-Fri.: Rent at the Park Office located off of Eveland Road. Rates: $15/2 hrs., $25/4 hrs., $40/8 hrs. All gear (oars, paddles, PFDs) are provided with the rental. You must be 18 years of age to rent a vessel.
